I am looking for some of the decent ideas regularly sprouted by some snetters

Basically I need a present to give my girlfriend after her graduation ceremony.

I have already booked us into a nice hotel for that evening, and will be paying for all festivities, I am looking for a present and have no idea what to get.

She wants an ipod for christmas, so thats one idea shot. I cant get her undies as the dress shes is wearing for the dance that night - well pretty much she wont be able to wear anything under that. She doesnt need any more jewellery (spelling), she has just come back from NY with a new Gucci bag....

So does anyone have an idea for a gift that would be something she could keep for a long time and show people (no sex toys )

I had a SLR camera for my graduation. That was 5 years ago and I use it all the time. Would she like something like that?

What price range are we thinking of here?

We have local artist exibitions here sometimes and I always think how lovely it would be to have an original painting. Or what about a limited edition print.
Maybe a landscape of a place you both like or something abstract and modern?

What kind of job will she be doing?
Will she need a briefcase?

hhmmm still thinkin......

I know she has jewellery but what about something different?
Have you heard of Welsh Gold? That would be very special.

I think it would be nice to have something that will last but there is always a pamper day option?

on the Welsh gold, there is a great jewellers in Ludlow who do very nice commission work - I'd be very happy to get something from them!!

1. A professional video of her graduation ceremony (unless already past)

what has she graduated in? can you buy her something that relates to her field of work?

She got a first in business specialising in marketing.

Unfortunately things like attache cases and well any decent leather goods are out, because thats what I do for a living...she would thing me a tight bastrd

I thought about paying for some health treatments while we were at the hotel but, she wont have the time to have them done.

I will have to chat with her mates see what they think...
