Fireworks
I'm impressed!! Coming up to 11:00pm on the 5th of November and not a bang, pop, or whistle to be heard.
Looks like the firework ban legislation has been heeded by the masses.
Jeez, maybe the 'ban it all' culture has something going for it after all.
What's it like round your way?

Crap, they've been going off all night and last night
At least they seem to have stopped for the time being now.....
....but they will probably start up again around midnight

I moved to the countryside - cheap insurance - peace and quiet and no fireworks.
Load of noisy feckin subarus though for some strange reason.

I have to say, it has been remarkably quiet around here in the run-up to Nov 5th, and by midnight, there are NO bangs to be heard......
Deffo seems an improvement. Stunned, as didn't think it would make much difference!!

There was a bang round here about ten minutes ago, but I think that was just a local blowing away a chav, so that doesn't count

No difference here, fireworks mostly stopped before 22:00 as they did last year because, being a conservative ward, people have been brought up to show more respect to each other!

We've got a Border Collie and there super senstive to noise, last night the dog wonders in the bathroom while I'm having a bath. Then the neighbours let a fecking bomb off result the dog jumps in the bath, which I find Very Funny. BUT then they let another off the dog bolts resulting in one very wet house, NOT SO FUNNY .

Loads going off last night. Unfortunatley caused a dog to bolt into the road in front of me, tried to swerve & stop in time, but sickening thud that followed meant I hadn't. Get out of car to see poor bugger lying in road, following cars all slow and pull round the dog except some bint in a Fiesta who manages to drive over the dog. Really pissed off now as I had been involved in a hit & run 30 mins earlier & had taken the wifes car to work 'for a change'. Remember, remember the fifth of November, not a problem.

Probably the noisiest year yet – although at least the surrounding weeks have shrunk a bit to be mostly surrounding days now. What pisses me off is that everybody seems to have the same ones, those that just go weeeeeee and those that just go BANG. After 2˝ hours I starting to think that the ‘show’ just up the road must be running out by now – surely!
Don’t know what time they finished last night but they were still going at 11 when I fell asleep

We've just been into town to watch the fireworks, had a few beers, got tipsy, ate Chinese....
First one that went off set every car alarm off in a 2 mile radius! Wicked!

Some f**king moron just released a salvo that looked and sounded like the start of the siege of St Petersburg. There's just no need for it.
I'm in the mood now too.
So I just went and shouted from the darkness for them to "shut the f**k up you f**kin morons" and after a bit of female chav return shouting it's suddenly stopped.
I feel much better now.

<either that or they're on their way round to 'sort me out' > lol
