Question G/F allergic to alcohol

Recently my girlfriends been complaining of problems with her gums. She's been waking up with her mouth full of blood.
She reckons its due to some sort of reaction to alcohol (she realised that the only time it seems to happen is when she's been drinking the night before)
It's a bit strange to me but has anyone heard of this before? - and is there anything that can help her?

I think she is better off seeking doctor's advice on this.Never heard of gums bleeding caused by alcohol before.
It may be something else.as said above, she should stop drinking until then anyway.

I have a similar thing, but not bleeding gums. I tend to get a headache, dry mouth, tiredness, and twitchiness....

Then suddenly one day after about 15 years, I found it only happened the day after drinking!

Bizarre.

She's been to the dentist about it. Apparently he didn't disagree with what she was saying - so she's really thinking its to do with the alcohol.

Personally I think it's more to do with her mega stressful job and that she smokes too much.

Thanks for the opinions anyway.

A trifle viscous for a mouthwash, I believe.

I have a salt intorlerance that makes my gums bleed, and the skin in my mouth literally peels off. Also a certain preservatives used in cured pork, ready meals and sauces causes it to happen too.
If I happen to have a cut lip and I eat the above, It swells up and I end up with lips like Leslie Ash for the rest of the day

Never heard of anything like it with alcohol. One man's pleasure is another mans poison, so they say!

Bonehead, you have to admit that on the unattractiveness scale, "look at my bleeding gums" is 'up there' with "oh, my weeping sores". Nice
