C4 - UK Music Hall of Fame 70's
Anyone else watch this last night
Abba Bee Gees
The Clash David Bowie
Elton John Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd Queen
Sex Pistols Stevie Wonder
I mean how can you seperate Floyd and Zep ?? and the Clash for that matter, all the opinions were superbly argues, Henry Rollins having the last word on the Zep LOL, "....and your girlfriend!!" .
It's a tough one and people said the 70's were ****e, well these three prove that theory very very wrong especially if you look at the 80's and 90's short lists, they dont even compare to the above, i'm not a 70's kid but look at the 10 I think combined record sales from that lot would win hands down not to mention the amount of bands they have influenced down the years
80's
Bruce Springsteen Beastie Boys
George Michael Guns n Roses
Joy Division Michael Jackson
Prince Public Enemy
R.E.M The Smiths
90's
Blur Dr Dre
Missy Elliot Nirvana
Oasis Prodigy
Radiohead Red Hot Chili Peppers
Robbie Williams Spice Girls WTF are those 2 doing there??
I'd have to pick two from each decade as its not fair to choose between PF and LZ
Pink Floyd / Led Zep
GNR / Public Enemy
Radiohead / Oasis (when they were good, 1st two albums)
I'm still looking at those lists and still the floyd, Led Zep and the Clash are the best three from all three decades IMHO
