I missed some of it can some1 please explain thet film to me or just the ending.

I thought it was OK, but ruined by the feckin adverts.

I think he took over the body of his host, Robert Palmer, and then said he could only take one person back > Bess so that's why he had to leave Palmer's body behind, cos he needed taking care of anyway.
