pensions
can someone tell me if the age of a woman to receive state pension is 60?
but do they need to wait until their husband is 65 before they receive it or she
SHOULD have it automatically when shes 60
how much is it now for the woman?

retirement age is 60 for women.
no need to wait until husband is 65, totally separate...
think you need to claim for it and only get it if she had been paying tax or claiming benefits / child benefit.
Amount depends on number of tax years paid I believe.
I am sure if you do a google search on State Pension you will get more precise answers or try citizen advice.

Women born on or after 6th April 1955 won't get their State Pension 'til 65.
For those born in between the above dates, State Pension age gradually changes from 60 to 65 depending on their date of birth. Here's a calculator which might help if she falls into this category - http://www.thepensionservice.gov.uk/...entre/calc.asp
The actual amount depends on a number of factors e.g. how long she worked, her earnings, whether she was employed or self employed etc. She can get a free State Pension Forecast from here http://www.thepensionservice.gov.uk/...rpforecast.asp

Not necessarily. See this from the Pension Service's website:-
Can I get it?
Have you:
Reached State Pension age?
Paid or been credited with NI contributions or has your husband or wife?
If you answered YES to both, you can claim State Pension.
The website provides much useful info. If you've not already had a look go to :- www.thepensionservice.gov.uk
