CHRISTMAS ADVERTS ....FFS !

Crazy isn't it! Three months of the year taken up by Christmas, that's 1/4 of year!!
Any shop / advert / person / whatever with any mention of Christmas before the month of december should be fined / closed down / shot.
Bahhh humbug !!!!!

First Christmas Card received at work last Monday
Let Blah Blah Promotions Ltd be the first to wish you a Merry Christmas
In all fairness, it was a company selling Christmas Cards and obviously a cunningly devised gimmick that they thought would work......

I worked with a guy who got a Christmas catalogue in May, FFS.
Anyway, I get Christmas Eve afternoon off work. Plenty of time for shopping. Even better if I get tanked up down the pub at lunchtime first. It's amazing how easy it is to decide what to buy people when you have alcohol induced apathy.

It should be banned, seriously, all this promotion and advertising dilutes what the true meaning is.
it should 1 month before the 25/12 and no sooner. No trees, no annoying music, no lights. Sure advertise toys etc and products (how can you stop them?) But anything crimbo related....BAN IT!
Retailers don't help themselves a single bit, they moan at less trade, so advertise more and earlier. Could it be that the tedium of the music, trees, lights adverts is driving people AWAY from stores? It does with me, and lots of people I know.
Ban it all, Ban it NOW. Write petitions to the Tony Blair, mass demonstrations. We do not want Christmas in october!!
I blame Tony Blair (for not controlling and ledgislating this abuse of a religious holiday purely on the basis of greed).

Our office Christmas party is being held at the end of November because "Christmas is our busy time". By all means have a party but calling it a Christmas party is taking the p*ss. Don't think I'll bother coughing up the £10 'employee contribution' myself, bah humbug.

Was it Woolworths that said talking to their "shopper groups" showed people wanted longer to shop for Christmas? Hence they roll out the damn stuff in September
I've yet to find anyone who wants the shops full of bloody tinned biscuits and trees in September...

Brings out all the grumpy old men threads like this
BAH HUM...
PS, anyone know why people over 10 get prezzies for birthdays as well?
Pointless to me ..
And the meaning of christmas is to get lots of prezzies and get drunk and not singing happy birthday to Jesus
