Parking near Covent Garden
Hello
I am going to the Cambridge Theater, Earlham Street tomorrow to see Jerry Springer the musical. I have to travel in from Thurrock (A13) by car after work, so whats the best place to park thats close by and wont cost me a remortgage on my house ?
Dave

Lincoln Inn Fields is a good place or somewhere around the Temple for street parking. Otherwise there's the NCP in Gerrard St (China Town) or the one just before Stringfellows on St Martins Lane.
Don't forget that if you pass the Tower of London before 6.30PM that'll be an extra fiver for the Congestion Charge

bloomsbury square (just of tott court road)
Underground very very secure parking and cheaper than any ncp in the area (and the meters if its daytime). You will be hard puched to find anywhere in the west end more secure i reckon.
Not a long walk at all to covent
Long acre if you are lucky (doubtful) or have a scout about. There are a few places i use in the west end but couldnt possibly give you directions, generally as i dont know the name of them i just know where they are.
If you do get a spot on the road, double check the restrictions etc- they are 24 hr, especially the residents bays. having been in reciept of a whopping fine+ tow in covent garden the first time i moved there i know this from bitter wallet lightening experience!

Alternative is park on the outskirts in a residential area near a tube station and get the tube the last bit of the way. As said before check the restrictions but where I park sometimes the restrictions end after 6.30pm just don't miss the last tube! Only costs the tube journey then. If not the China Town one may be your best bet, never been full when I have been there but busy even till late night.
