LOL @ wwp8
I learnt my lesson years ago. After a week of having my subaru dust caps on, they got nicked (i hastily bought a new set as my son had bought them for me for my birthday), when i parked up at our local shop a few days later i heard a young lad say to his mate, "Hey i bet your Subaru dust caps would look cool on that Subaru". The little tw@t saw me turn round to see what was going on, the little ****** got on his bike and rode off as fast as he could.
The replacement set lasted another two weeks and were knicked whilst parked up at M&S on a Saturday afternoon

A few years back I caught some teenage ****** nicking the plastic valve caps off a sierra I had. I asked him politely what the hell he would want to nick them for but he didnt know himself!

It's a sad world we live in that you can now actually buy locking valve caps.
I wonder if you can embed razor wire into the little grooves in a standard black valve cap?

God - Name?
Me - Fast Bloke
God - (flicks through printout)
God - 4 you stole 4 - at the age of 6 - you shall burn forever
Me - 4 4 what?
God - didn't you know your saintliness is measured by the amount of dust caps you stole divided by your age? you got .666 - even satan only managed a 0.62

I gave up on decent valve caps ages ago too... If you want to persevere then the following advice was brought to my attention ....
1) Buy some cheap metal valve caps from Halfords
2) Place the cap top-down on a table and with a stanley knife cut into the metal around the edge of the cap in a clockwise direction so that it forms a needle sharp burr. (it is important to get the direction correct so the point is facing against the way you would turn to remove the cap)
3) Install valve cap with care!
4) When you hear a yelp follow the drops of blood to find the perpetrator.
