Talking Daily Mail ski show

Anyone been? is it worth going this year? I am going up on Saturday as it is usually a good time to catch up with people I worked with in the Alps, not everyone bothers actually going to the show though! So if anyone has been is there any good bargains? or events worth seeing?

Cheers

I'm there Saturday as well. Never been before but hoping to see some new kit and perhaps find a lodge for next year.

I went last year and to be honest it was rubbish! I only went into the show because I had free tickets! They are supposed to have changed the format (and upped the price ) They have also moved the date so loads of seasonaires are still working abroard for summer but I am sure the Hand and Flower pub will be over flowing with ex chalet girls still so I know where I am going

anyway enjoy!

It was pretty ****ty. I won't be going back next year. Did manage to pick up a new Patagonia base layer - full market price. Saw one other scooby in the car park, blue >01.

Yeah was not that impressed myself, better bargains elsewhere. I have got a few bits of Patagonia stuff, very good kit. Managed to get a 100 quid level 2 layer for £30 from (don't laugh!) TK Maxx!! I used to ski in just my Patagonia base layer and shell most of the time as it was so good! You have got to laugh at people in cotton tee shirts, and thick wooly jumpers who can't understand why they are freezing on the chair lifts!

Love Patagonia. Another good one is Howies natural base layer, 100% marino wool and not that expensive www.howies.co.uk I wore one for 10 days straight earlier this year and can confirm the anti bacterial qualities - didn't stink!
