Well, I'm still paying 83p for Super ...... however, I understand that Imports need real expensive petrol?
Should have bought a proper UK car then?

The price of "Go-Juice" is well out of order these days and has fair curtailed my weekends.
OPEC?
Somebody ought to send in the troops.
Wait a minute, they already have!
Ring any bells?

No point moaning at Shell complain to the Government the price is 75% tax. funny enough in parts of America they have reduced the tax on fuel to reduce the burden on the public, strange that Gordon and Tony havnt done that here isnt it.

Of course it *is* Blair's fault. If he hadn't prosecuted an illegal war in the middle east the cost of crude oil would not be reaching $50 a barrel now.
Frankly, if you drive a gas guzzling monster then you can't really complain about the cost of fuelling it. If you want to spend less then do what I did and get a cheap run-around for day to day use. Do you *really* need a 260BHP + wannabe rally car for commuting?

I went to a BP station last night, eyed up the pump for Ultimate thinking my poor little "it's only a Clio" could do with a treat. When I saw the price, I thought **** that! And the poor little "it's only a Clio" got standard unleaded....
I do an average of 35mpg, 10-15 miles a day anyway. It's not going to hurt it is it?

Unfortunately with China using far more oil than was predicted, the crisis in the Russian oil fields and the unrest in Iraq fuel prices are going to stay high for some time to come (btw the first two are probably not Blair's fault )
Still maybe people will start to think about how much they really need to use their vehicles and the roads may end up being a little emptier. Oh sorry, that would take common sense - not high on much of the UK population's agenda. Far better to just bitch and moan and maybe bring the country to a grinding halt with fuel protests.

Just got back from Spain...and petrol is really cheap...I found this quote on a web site
"Expect to pay around 75 cents per litre for diesel, 79 cents for unleaded and 81 cents for super leaded"
It's gone up a little bit since this quote but when you think 100cents is only about 60p!!!!!
I was trying to work out whether it would be worthwhile bringing petrol back instead of booze............
Before anybody gets too concerned about petrol on planes please note I was joking

It costs me about 17GBP for a tankful of the high octane for my WRX. That's in most-expensive-petrol California. So that's 15 U.S. gallons, 3.6L/gallon, 54 liters, holy ****, 50 quid a fill-up?!!

I don't give a **** who or what Bush laughs at. He seems to chuckle like a simpleton at most things.
I do know the U.S. government takes much less of my hardearned than the British government did. 50 quid the fill the tank on a compact Japanese car is nuts, and it's the government's fault.
