Hi,
Going to this great city at the end of the month for a weekend and just wondered if anyone knows of any good clubs or pubs there?
Never been before so dont know what to expect.
Super excited though, gonna be me and my best mate celebrating my 21st!
Cheers

Been there twice this year so far. It really is one of the best places I've ever visited.
For drinks, including coffees, just about ANY pub in the city centre will do, fom streets off O'Connell street, down to the bottom end of Grafton street, and all of Temple Bar.
We ate once at The Oval off O'Connel street, great for Irish stew, couldn't finish mine there was so much, and once at O'Neills, on the edge of Temple bar. Fan-bl**dy tastic. Even my 15 year old couldn't finish his meal!
Loads of pubs do midday meals too, and not just the crappy panini you get here!
The open-topped buses are a great idea, (sit inside if it's cold or wet), and allow you to pinpoint places to see, eat, drink etc while finding out some of Dublin's history. The couriers are VERY knowledgeable and know good places to eat too. Costs about €13, but usable as a step on-step off ticket for 24 hours, and comes with reduced rate tickets for various attractions too.
The ordinary buses are good too, with friendly crews who'll tell you which bus to catch for wherever, and quite cheap.
One of the most friendly, if not THE friendliest city I've EVER been to.
Alcazar
BTW: if you're there on a Sunday, nowt much opens before 12 o'clock, but the courier buses know where does.

Foggy Dew in Temple Bar - quality boozer.
True story from a stag weekend several years ago:
Groom's bag was hijacked at Luton airport and he was given a Leprechaun's outfit to wear for the duration. The rest of us had tour 'T' shirts on. I was treasurer so holding 750 Irish Punts, we went into said pub and a little old wizened Irish geezer hops off his bar stool and says:
"What'll you be having?"
"15 pints of Guiness please"
"You boys on a stag?"
"Yep"
"Which one of you fellas is getting married?"
Cheers

Temple Bar is probably the handiest spot in terms of pubs per centimetre Grafton Street is one of the better shopping areas, but prices may be higher than other areas... the general Georges Street to grafton Street u will find everything you need, food, drink n dance... as clubs are a pretty objective thing just ask around when u get there, not too sure if yoiu just wanna dance around your handbag or not

Temple Bar is a tourist trap, be prepared to pay over the odds for the convenience of being able to crawl to the next pub
Get off the main streets for a taste of the real Dublin. There's so many characters/pubs that you can't go too wrong.

A bar called The Temple Bar is a good place to start as it's right in the middle of Temple Bar (surprise surprise!).
I can recommend a club called Zanzibar that's just across the river from Temple Bar near the Halfpenny Bridge.
