Is there a resource to find out where tax cameras are located? A Friend has just realised his tax has run out, and needs to get down the M6 tonight. before buying tax tomorrow morning.

I take it ur freinds a bit dim then ?? tax ran out 8 days plus he would have got a reminder from DVLA so tell the tight git to buy one now he's still gonna have to pay the same tomorrow,

oh and plus the £80 they will be sending him

Although they know your tax has run out as yet they may have no evidence that you have had the car on the public road.

In truth there is usually a 2 week "grace" period in which to get the car taxed. I'm guessing that your tax must have run out at the end of last month so you've had 8 days so far.

You would need to check this with the appropriate people to confirm it but my understanding was that you would not be "done" until day 14. You should ring and ask them.

I posted that at 16.01hrs my local P.O. closes at 16.30hrs


Not anymore there isn't, there's no excuse now im afraid if it's not taxed by the given day, the fine is sent out automactially, it's all done on bar code things now so the DVLA are instantly updated
