Is this a good one?
sshhh its a secret so I've made a new name because I don't want him to know I'm posting this!!
I want to buy him one of those driving days.
I've found this one ....
http://www.driversdreamdays.co.uk/product.asp?id=10
What do you guys think?
Any good?
Have you seen better?
I don't really want to spend £300 I was thinking closer to £200 but I'd like him to be able to drive more than one type of car.
I don't want one that has a thrills passenger ride because he's a rubbish passenger!!!
It would be a bonus if the day included a scooby... he's not taken his on a circuit. I'm an evil wife and I wont let him! But he can have a go in someone elses!!!!
So... your mission should you choose to accept it ... is to help me find a great day out for my hubby.
Or suggest a gift for a scooby owner for around £200 ish
I've already bought him a knocklink.
Thanks guys
Hope he doesn't figure out this is me! lol
ooppss nearly signed off with my name then!

All i would say is check the actual driving time. I got the other half one, it was a 1/2 day at Brands, but the actual driving time was only 40 minutes! Cost near to £300 too.
A very good afternoon had by both of us though.

This is brilliant -

Scoobs, MkII escort, 6R4's - you can spend from £90 up to£600 - as always, you get what you pay for
p.s. - You can usually get flights over here for about 20 quid now

Don't know where you are in the country but I bought my other half for his 40th a full driving day at the Bill Gwynne Rallyschool, Northampton (www.billgwynne.com). You get a choice of cars - Scooby rally car or MK2 Escort rally car (RWD action yipppeeee).
You get a couple of goes round as a passenger with the instructor and then it's up to you - they teach you allsorts of driving skills and my other half thoroughly enjoyed it - I booked him on the Escort day cos he's currently building a MK2 rally car - but the Scoob was going around on an adjoining course and it looked good - also had a passenger ride which was out of this world!
All the instructors there are professional rally drivers and so they know what they're talking about and if you book the full day, you do get your money's worth

Use the £200 to get therapy to see why you should want to stop your husband from having fun. After all, he had fun before he met you, I bet.

Not all wives want to stop their husbands having fun!! The whole point of this thread is that I want him to have a day he will enjoy thats why I'm asking for help.
As for not letting him take his car on the track.......
His scooby is our family car. It isn't set up for track days!
The whole point of a driving experience is that he can take a car out that is set up just for that. And if it all goes **** up we've still got our car to drive home in lol
And..... from what I've seen of track days any tom dick or mary can be on the track holding the faster guys up.
I thought with a driving day there would be less on the track and he could really go for it.
Having more fun before he met me....
You haven't met the right woman Spoon.

Yes you're asking for advice on letting him have fun, on your terms though.
The fact that it's the family car in your case puts a slightly different slant on the use of it, although I suspect you're using that as an excuse for being a killjoy.
Let the man out to play occassionally, remember, he is for life and not just for birthdays.

Or in your eyes he's lumbered with me eh??
When he finds out who "he" is I'm sure he'll tell you himself that he does what he damn well pleases.
And for what its worth its not his birthday I just wanted to treat him because he's had a tough few months at work.
In your eyes I'm probablly and evil b!tch cow troll for making him work!!!!

Might as well buy him something he wants/ likes than a load of old rubbish that he'll never need or use.
