Most fairy tales have some bizarre origin anyway. If you look at the symbolism behind Rumplestiltskin or even Cinderella it's absolutely shocking.

Did you know that Rumplestiltskin is a medieval german anti-semetic story to stop german girls talking to Jewish money changers from other villages.

For years I thought it was a story about a funny little man who should have gone after the queen for breach of contract
