Default The mrs has been shunted by a bus....

Hi All, don't worry it wasn't the scoob.... and the mrs is ok.

Anyway, she was in the astra and waiting at a roundabout, and a bus bumped into the back of her.
The bus driver has admitted responsability (his foot slipped off the brake !). She got his name and address and reg number.
There is no obvious damage to the car.

Her dad was in the car with her, so at least there was a witness.

Just wondering what the next steps are.
The car is insured as 3rd party T and T, so at least if there is any damage i can claim the repairs
But the worrying thing is, she says her back is now hurting her.

Best thing she can do is make an appt to see the doctor to get her back looked at. It might just be a case of whiplash, or it might be something more serious.

You may have a problem here...some bus companies use their own insurers (public liabilty expenses has forced them to do this). They can be downright awkward to say the least.

Would be best to get your isurers to handle it.

Back needs to to checked out by a doctor, and a report needs to be written up to back up any treatment claim.

Don't waste time with the doctor, get to casualty. I had a side impact years ago, sorted out the car and went straight to hospital of my own accord for neck and back pain. Casualty will be able to give her an x-ray or scan straight away and will put her neck in a brace whilst she is waiting, you never know with whiplash, have her go to the hospital straight away.

Also, as a second point, if her back is hurt and she does suffer whiplash, she will want to claim compo, probably, and a visit to casualty will aid more in this field.

Hope she's ok.

Sorry to appear cynical as I'm pleased they are both ok but,

1.No visible signs of damage to the car.

2.He slipped off the brake at a roundabout (assuming he was stationary and not approaching it) and her back hurts?

Ummm

If it is the case however, get to casualty asap.

apparently it was stationary and his foot slipped off the brake and it bumped the back of the car. Here dad says theres no visable external damage to the car, but he is yet to look under it.

I've told her to get herself looked at.
