I've always worn jeans, they'll stop the paintball better.

Take some gloves with you as there's always a v good chance of getting hit on the hand.

If you've never been before you'll have a top time. I've been quite a few times and I fecking love it.
A word of advice -never share a foxhole with someone braver than you, and incoming fire has right of way.

HAve fun!!!

Paintballing excellent fun!

Last time I went was somewhere up north, near Dudley.

Anyone recommend good place to go?

Try the 'dead mans walk' pretend you've been hit and walk off the field with your marker by your side but no arm in the air. Once behind the opposing team let rip

Dunno if you're interested, but if you enjoy Saturday, perhaps you might fancy this?

The best site in the country (IMHO) is at Bassets Pole (A38 / A446 roundabout) 300 acres of the most awesome playing areas you could hope to see. Just outside of Sutton Colefield and there's even a pub right next door to the site so you can have a drink and a laugh afterwards.

Go here for site info: http://www.nationalpaintballfields.com/

Jeans?!?! Wuss - me and a mate played in t-shirt and shorts one time... you'd be surprised how this HELPS... you're a hell of a lot more mobile, and you have a REAL vested interest in not being hit!

Marshalled a few times in the past as well... that's a real eye opener. You would be amazed how much people miss when they're crouched down and you're stood in full view of everyone.

(for anyone further north - the Bawtry Paintball site is excellent and they have an excellent twist in the predator...)

I had a great time at paintballing yesterday. unfortuntally our team lost (RED), the Blues one...doh...but out team are sure that there was some cheating going on. oh well. we were winning up untill lunch (4 games played) with a score 770 to 500. but we then it all went pair shaped after lunch. One of the opposition has his own gun, that was much more accurate than everyone eleses.

I got hit three times once in the chest, once in the back and once in my goggles....boy oh boy do you know when you get hit you know about it.

all in all it was a good day out and had some fun.

the final score was RED 1010 and the Blues 1050.
