Totally agree with the o2 cards but they were about a fiver a couple of months ago when I got one for my sister. She just tops it up for £10 per month and gets 300 free texts 
If you get one make sure it is the one with the texts though because there are quite a few on there that don't have that included.

I have the above sim card on Pay as you go and would agree that that is your best option for lots of texts 
and cheaper off ebay! or if you go to O2 website you may be able to get one free? i know they occasionally do free offers on their sim cards!

People order them in bulk then sell them on ebay... (coff- i dont have 20 of them sitting here right now.....
