So, BlindGit is now going to control, punish and rehabilitate serious UK criminals using a system based on satellites controlled by another country (BBC News.

Its a GPS/SMS based system simillar to the "protect your child" one in the US. Supposedly unremovable wrist/leg band which either
a) records your positions as you go round your daily chores providing you are in sat coverage
b) lets people know if your geofence area (circular) is breached
It is a NON proactive system and relies on Probation officers actually inspecting what a crim gets up to on a daily basis - historically.
Sounds good but just as tea-leaves can outwit tracking devices - the same ******* will be fitted...

I presume this gadget is water proof if it is unremovable!!!! if it aint there will be a lot of smelly criminals around because they can not take a shower anymore
