Wouldn't mind seeing this but heard mixed responses. Anyone seen it care to offer opinion?
Ta.
/edit - also Chronnicles of Riddick is now being promoted over here. Anyone seen this yet?

I've not seen it but I rely heavily on Rotten Tomatoes for reviews:

Looks like it did well with a tough collection of critics.

Thanks mate. Looks like Riddick gets a shoeing on there.
Shame as from the clips it looks like Dune (All time fav film of all time mate!) and I've been looking forward to it it since I heard about the Riddick Diaries a couple of years ago.

I saw Hellboy a few weeks ago, thought it was really good. I had no idea it was a comic crossover before i saw it, so wasn't really sure for the first half hour or so!

Watched the first hour last night, and to be honest I found it a tad boring. It just bimbles along rather aimlessly. Still, may pick up in the second half I suppose.

I thoroughly enjoyed Hellboy & agree with sith, probably 'the' best 'comic crossover' film to-date.. IMO...
As for Riddick, well I fell asleep, shame really as I rather enjoyed Pitch Black, and after playing the Riddick Xbox game was really looking forward to the film ( nothing like the game I add ) ZZzzzzzzzzzz

Chronicles of riddick
Seemed a long film, but it wasn't. Didn't have the same feel as pitch Black. I suppose that would go without saying as the budget was probably 5 times higher.
Bit of an iffy 'plot' I thought. Takes a good 10-15 mins to get your head around what they are saying.
The special effects are very good, and I would buy the film on dvd to watch it again at home.
Go see it for what it is, basically it's an action sci-fi film and it does provide entertainment. Don't go expecting to see Oscar nominated screenwriting though.

Agree with Scoobynutta555 on riddick - OK sci-fi, not much plot and not the same type of film as pitch black...
Saw Hell boy in states at Easter - really enjoyed it (Almost as good as the punisher...) - seen it twice since and will be seeing it again this weekend....
Good if you like comic book tie-ins....

Must say that I was going to see HB at the cinema but never got round to it. Before I know it, it's on DVD, so I got the special edition. Must say I really liked it. Ron Pearlman is perfect as Hellboy (both the creator of the comic and the director said that Ron was the guy they wanted to play HB).
Makes a change to see a not-so-goody-goody 'super-hero', ok so Wolverine is a semi-bad boy, but nowhere near as good as HB.
There's going to be a Directors cut in a couple of months with an additional 15 mins of footage, plus more features than the SE, so if you're thinking of purchasing, wait for that (I would have waited if I'd known about this before getting it!)
