What type of Speed Camera is a DS2?
As title really.
Usually zip along a road on a regular basis and never had a NIP or anything, but after installing an Origin B2 last week it showed a couple of these yesterday. Not sure what they are? Any help?

"A speedtrap doesn't have to be a fixed camera. Some police forces use a system called DS2 (also known as Speedmaster and Autovision but I like to call it Plug and Pay), which consists of three strips buried into the road and a small grey post to connect the camera. In the image below, you can see them clearly. If you look just in front of the yellow sign, you can see a dropped kerb and the grass is a different texture. This is where the Talivan sits and a wire is then plugged into the post. And finally, notice how the post is right next to the signposts, this is an attempt at trying to obscure it like they do with Gatsos.
This type of speedtrap is only active when a camera is hooked up to it. "

My laser alert has gone off two or three times......except all seemed to be false alarms as there was no police cars or vans that I could see...although they may have been hiding!
Luckily haven't been speeding whenever it has gone off....but makes me wonder....are the laser sensors prone to false alarms??? and if so, what can set it off?

Yep.....Origin B²
Funnily enough, they have all coincided with my mobile receiving a text message....have no idea if that is a factor or just pure coincidence.
I have heard that some people have had problems with false alarms under acceleration due to electrical 'spikes' and they have had some sort of lagging supplied for the cables to reduce this...come to think of it, two of the false alarms I have had have occured during acceleration......hmmm.....might have to give Origin a call.
