Olympic Marathon leader attacked
I'm watching the Olympic Mens Marathon and witnessed the most outrageous occurence.
With around half an hour to the end, a protestor attacked the Brazilian leader of the race (De Lima) and pushed him into the crowd. He had maintained a massive lead since his breakaway at the halfway point.
He seemed physically hurt by the incident, is rapidly slowing down and is now in third.
There was a (sleeping) policeman on a bicycle near him at the attack, but he didn't get to this protestor for ages.
The whole incident has left me utterly outraged.

Easy for the idiot to get to the runner, surprised we havent seen more of it.
Did the protester escape from a cuckoo clock ?

It's the same bloke that ran onto the track at the British GP last year apparently.
A wee bit of incarcaration in a Greek prison might bring him back to reality.

More info here.
This Horan guy (the protestor) needs to be locked in a mental hospital for his own good. Here's hoping the Greek Police give him the same treatment (or worse) as the idiot who disrupted the diving - 2 black eyes and front teeth missing.

It was him.
I was watching it when he ran on, and I said to my wife that looks like the idiot who ran onto the track at the British Grand Prix. He was dressed the same.
And she says - no it not, don't be stupid.
So I'm just off to show her this.
And she's never wrong.
