34/35 for me. Got the one about what to do if someone is following you too closely. I put "ignore them" but it wanted "slow down and increase the gap to the vehicle in front". I knew this was recommended procedure by the professionals, but thought it wouldn't be what the DVLA were after!

Look at this question in the "Driving Test 2" part:
The pictured vehicle is ‘environmentally friendly’ because it
Mark three answers
reduces noise pollution
uses diesel fuel
uses electricity
uses unleaded fuel
reduces parking spaces
reduces town traffic
[then there's a picture of a tram]
WTF has this got to do with proving that you're safe to drive on the road?

Yes, but why does it matter? The driving test is about proving that you're fit to mix it on the roads with the other drivers: that you're not a danger. This question goes no way towards proving that, hence it's irrelevant if you know the answer or not.

Hmm I thought that too. The one about motor vehicles cause pollution etc etc - what has that got to do with road safety? More like indoctrination
Trams reducing noise pollution? Stood next to one of the Croydon trams recently?

I got the one about the car tailgating wrong. I put keep the same speed as you are doing. I would have thought that if the guy behind is that much of a nutter to tailgate you, slowing him down would make him worse. Seen it happen.
Agreed about the pollution one though

Being as Im quite old (44) and a HGV driver I tried my luck at both, -- CAR passed with a score of 30, -- HGV failed with a score of 27, but to be fair some of the questions are old and ones I never use in a modern HGV.
