could be wrong, but that does look like the one touted in our workshop about 6 months ago by a nice irish fellow. peel the makita label off and it just says 12 volt underneath! slightly wrong shade colour aswell.

like i say, could be wrong. wouldn't be the first time

soppy bint still got done though

fair point, if it's a copy then its a good one :

http://diytools.com/store/detail.asp?productid=58755

as for pikies selling tools, I got collared for " would you be wantin to buy any power tools?" the other week in a B+Q car park, two chaps in a transit. I was shown a copy of an LS1013 saw ( the real thing in B&Q is about 500+). I told this chap that I already had one that was made by Makita, fair play to the guy he did'nt try the full blag, his next question was " so how much would you be wantin to pay for the saw, £100?? "

yeah, my mate got approached by one in B&Q aswell!! he couldn't stop laughing about it, apparently it was like something out of a comedy. the guy looked from side to side, opened up his jacked to reveal a sodding great circular saw! mate declined then pissed himself as said pikey walks off down the isle with the plug dragging on the floor behind him

must be on security camera film somewhere

got a link to the ad freak ?, I'm interested

My old fella nearley spent £180 on an empty digital camera box a while back, he showed me the ad, and right at the bottom there was the " please note, you are bidding on the box only " disclaimer. He had become "bargain blinkered", the camera was about £500 quids worth in the real world.

Tw@ts that deliberatley set out to hoodwink people need ******* off ebay, but unfortunately, as long as there are people willing to shell out good money on empty boxes, there will always be a market.

Sure. Its here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...e=STRK:MESO:IT
Wasnt intended to decieve. No small print or anything.
There is no point in that- just comes back and bites you in the ***.
He paid instantly and i left feedback, when it was delivered to him, he left positive feedback saying 'wish id read the item more closely'.

I have seen some shocking examples of hidden small print and the prime example is people auctioning a link or a photo of something. Crazy, but then people get carried away and dont read things carefully before bidding.

What a muppet.

I think the seller is about to lose his 100% positive feedback rating though...

Anybody considered the bidder may have the tools and has broken the original case and may actually just want the case?? Silly price to pay I know, but they may be well aware.

The Seller is a Power Seller

"As the pillars of our community, PowerSellers are committed to upholding and embracing the core community values that are the very foundation of eBay. They are exemplary members who are held to the highest standards of professionalism, having achieved and maintained a 98% positive feedback rating and an excellent sales performance record."

Can't help but feel this guy wouldn't be considered a "Pillar" by most communities !

Pillock more like...

still - he did state that it was the box only - I doubt the buyer has any comeback.

It clearly states no tools included.

Its not like its in micro small print to try and decieve either.

Quite honestly if the buyer is dumb enough to miss that line in the description then they really shouldnt be let loose on a computer unsupervised

Yes - and the longer w@nkers like him are allowed to decieve people with dodgy for sale titles and pictures of things you aint gonna buy the longer it will take the Internet to be accepted as a place where you can safely do business.

Just because people are thick it doesn't give anyone the right to exploit them !

Someone I used to know bought a VCR at Birmingham Bull Ring market. When he got it back home he plugged it in, hooked up all the cables, set the clock and then put a cassette in. Thud! It had absolutely no workings inside.

Strangely they weren't there when he went back to get a refund...
