Default Shephall Green, Stevenage

I am thinking of moving my family (includes three kids), to this area, and just wondered if anyone had any views on the area. All i get from the estate agents is "It's a very desirable area", like every place they are trying to sell a house.
Thanks Andy

if anywhere in stevenage could be called "desirable" (which i personally doubt), then i guess shephall would be a contender.

most parts of stevenage are nice enough in a humdrum kind of way. my office is in stevenage old town.

Used to work at BAe and go out with a girl from Shephall Green. I thought it was a nice area but wouldn't really know about things like schools. Stevenage itself is Ok, was pretty boring back then (15yrs ago) but has improved.

Where you coming from ? Why not go for a little drive and check the place out ?

I have lived in Stevenage for the past 7 years or so, so hit me with any questions you want. Shephall Green is a decent area, the most sought after area is the Old Town as it is mostly character properties.
Being a New Town, Stevenage is mostly large housing areas (some good, some bad) with a main new town center, easily accessible via a million roundbouts , plenty of parking etc.

If i can be of any further help, let me know.

Thanks for the replies. Gonna look at some houses Saturday, on Shephall Green, and a couple in Cheals Manor, although these look to have rather small garages.
