Quantify brand names ?
As it says, write your interpretation of a brand name for any product.
At the moment I am seeing quite a few people wearing stuff with 'ABERCROMBIE' written on it, they all seem to be very trendy so is 'ABERCROMBIE' good stuff, they do however all seem to own Audi TT's (or think they do) and look a little smug.

IMO anyone who wishes to pay for the privilege of advertising someone else's company by wearing clothes emblazoned with the brand name is an utter, utter c**t.
just my opinion.

BMW = I think the phrase "Jesus loves you but everyone else thinks you're a ****" should be the perfect slogan for BMW. Does seem to sum up the majority of BMW owners who seem to think that they are driving an exclusive car (if a Kensington Ford can be considered exclusive), and that everyone else is lower in the food chain than they are.

Do you buy brand named clothing because.....
The brand means quality to you.
Or because the brand is known to be expensive, and you want to show youve got a few bob. The more expensive the better, so long as everybody knows it.
Or maybe because some footballer, PopStar or other icon wears that brand.
They are always advertised in a magazine you read, and youve bought into it.
Other people who you think are cool wear that brand.
You want to impress.
Because you want to conform to the norm.
You dont want to be ridiculed by others in the ' in ' crowd.
Or simply because youve bought into the hype, and you follow sheep.
I have never been a fashion victim, but I buy brand named clothing.
Picture this.......
If my other half comes home with a new shirt for me with a piece of black tape over the logo. It looked cool, felt really good on, good cut, material, and pattern and I was happy with it.
I would ask her to take it back if it was from George (Asda), which is a bit shallow really isnt it.
Each to their own, I suppose.

Let us do a bit of beer talking here.....hang on Ill just go and get a cold one.
Right.
You get a drive in a car, it is brilliant in every way, 400+ BHP looks a bit like a Subaru, drives like what every sports car of your dreams should do.
Its cheap......too cheap.
You find its made by a little know eastern block company who used to make hairdryers.
Would you be keen to be seen in it ?

True - quite literally you get what you pay for in some cases - HiFi, Wine up to £30 a bottle IMHO, I can't taste any better than that
Airline Tickets - I'm flying discount for the first time in a few weeks, I've never done a city break before - only long haul on the main carriers so I may eat my words... then again I may eat my shoes if lunch is no good
Cars really are a touchy subject though because people are so precious about them. There are some cracking motors out there but you wouldn't consider looking at them because of peer pressure!

Basically I am a carbon based organism that can perform concious thought, I am part of a fairly new species (2 million years or so), I strive to be the best I can (when I can be arsed) until the planet, galaxy, comet, ice age etc f*cks us all up, in the meantime giving up more of my currency for clothing to cover my naked fat white *** than is strictly neccesary is not part of my plan, I will let the twenty something wannabes do that and in the meantime I will enjoy my currency in other ways, as Jim Morrison once said (whilst wearing Mr Buyrite Leather pants with a fetching white Ethel Austin blouse)
'Im gonna get my kicks before this whole ****house goes up in flames'
Got to love the sentiment, however he was found bloated and very dead in a Paris bathtub a few months later so it kind of falls on its ****, but you get the point.

Other "previously quality but now chav" brands include:
Louis Vuitton (too many fakes)
Tiffany & Co (but only the silver stuff)
