"Use an FTP program like,limewire.com,and u'll find most things for free."
yeah used them in the past but would prefer a well organised site you can just chose and download whole albums like the previously mentioned site.
fed up of downloading with kazaa etc.. only to find most of the song is white noise...
BTW i've been told record labels are putting these copys on FTP's to try and put people off, kinda worked with me, though o still use em

Looks like I'm screwed then
That's normal Kazaa - spybot search and destroy kills the adware built into kazaa thus preventing it from working (you'll need to re-install kazaa)
However, Kazaa-lite (k-lite) is the spyware-free version, no spyware, no adverts, no popups. Also unlimited D/L rate and no bitrate limit on Mp3s....which makes it easier to sift out the spoofed crap (as most is set at 128kbps).
The site that hosted it was shut down, you can still get hold of it from various sources, or there are equivelents out there.

Spyware is sh!te but eithe rpay for the full version of kazaa or get hold of DietK. Its a 'wrapper' which you run first and it then loads Kazaa, disabling the Spy/Adware but not removing it so Kazaa still functions.
www.allofmp3.com is a good legal cheap music site.

I don't agree with the way record companies do business either, but as a person in the creative industry myself I appreciate how annoying it is to see your work redistributed and used without permission.
Whether the record companies go about things in the right way is irrelevant to you downloading something and not contributing whatsoever to the person who made it for you.
I have no problems in trialling music on P2P networks but if you like it, you should buy it out of respect for the artist. IE I just aquired an album that won't be out for a month and have a digital copy, but on its release day I will buy it.

Music is my other main interest and I have spent many thousands on my stereo system and CD collection. If I find a new album or artist that I like I inevitably end up buying it as I want it for my collection. I have expanded my tastes and found many new artists thanks to the Internet in genres I would never have dipped my toe into by making a purchase.
I am however against DRM. I am sure you are aware of the restrictions the RIAA et al have insisted are built into it. And the pricing structure for downloaded material is totally unreasonable which is why I posted the above link. The RIAA and music industry are trying to remove the established legal concept of fair use and unfortunately are having some success. This is partly due to the American political system where Senators are sponsored/manipulated by big industry concerns. This unfortunately has knock on effects to the rest of the world.
A similar illustration would be the attempts of the MPAA to have video recorders banned in the 70's. And they are going down a similar OTT path with software patents.
Enough anyway, I don't wanna get on a Friday afternoon.
