Any one been to Cancun in 'spring break' ???
me and my mates are thinking of going next April'ish , i've heard stories that it doesnt live up to the hype though. any thoughts anyone???

What exactly are you expecting? What hype?
Assume you are going for the usual lads week kinda thing, so sun, sea, sand, ******** any female that moves?

yeah basically, simular sort of hol to maggaluf, ayia napa etc... ???
just that a mate went this summer and said it was sh1te, more for couples, was wondering if he just went the wrong time of year??? (BTW he went July time)

i havent been, but loads of my friends back home go each year.
im not into that kind of thing.. but if u are, its supposed to be really good.
july is the wrong time to go. go in spring break if thats what you're after.

I went for Spring Break 2003. We were a little late though (early April) and everything had started to calm down.
Plus points are:
You can only stay at a 4 star+ all inclusive hotel (ours was quality)
Loads of American birds loving the English accent
A nice change from the Malia/Magaluf holidays I've been on before
Down sides:
Initial holiday is quite pricey
Most of the American blokes are *****
10 hour flight out there!!
I would recommend it as me and my mates had a wicked time. If you're going to go, aim for mid to late March.

I went in Feb 2000, didnt know "spring break" existed. Lots of young US Americans in their twenties, most of them from rural areas (you can hear where they are from at any beer drinking / stripping or whatever contest, Michigan, Iowa etc...). They're just there to drink and get laid. Most of the girls were a bit chubby, but there's some of everything, of course, lots and lots of people. A very busy place, good food, lots of alcohol, too many US Americans Dont stay over a week, you'll get bored.

i'd like to go. Always looks good.
Also seeing the vid "girls gone wild - spring break" makes me want to go a little bit more. Looks like the rumours you hear bout it are true.
Just a shame about the price.

yeah, thats what i thought, though the same rumours were circulating about magaluf a few years ago and the first thing the rep said on the coach was ....

not fun trying to talk to the ladies when every 5 minutes a northerner comes over for a fight...

No fun when the place is full of Cockneys and Essex Geysers sharking all the women, alllriiiggght darlin.
Where were these northeners from, there is quite a wide range of tribes north of Watford gap, some are more war like than others.

without causing too much offense, mainly mancs and geordies....
believe spring break is march/april, can google it and check.
california and florida universitys are the ones to look for the holiday times i've been told...
think this holiday could have a fatal flaw in that i hate the mojority of female american accents!
