Wouldnt recommend it mate.
My sisters bf did that a few years ago with his escort rs turbo. It was parked up in the car port and while away on a wkd to ireland some buggers stole his wheels, exhaust, stereo, etc.
Dont mean to sound harsh, but if you cant afford the insurance then why dont you get a different car?

I think someone needs to do some chauffeur (sp?) duties for you.

Weapon, don't do it: it's a slippery slope. Get caught, and your insurance premium goes up making it harder to justify... Before you know it, you're uninsurable and possibly banned from driving.
Ok, so that's the extreme, but don't do it.

Dont drive without insurance. Full Stop. Its not fair on the other driver who is involved in the accident you may have, and its not fair on you if something get nicked.
(painful i know) sell the scooby, and buy a smaller car. Then when you can afford the insurance, buy a new scooby! yay! who knows, maybe by then scoobys will be hovering a foot off the gound!?
Seriously tho, driving uninsured is not worth the risks involved.

Wouldn't bother mate. Saw a thing on news the other day, they trying to get it were if you get caught without insurance they take your car off you & send it to be crushed to discourage people more.
