Got to take my car off the road

I can't afford the insurance  If i wasn't such a good citizen i'd drive round without it but :nono:

so erm what are the chances of getting caught?:D

Wouldnt recommend it mate.

My sisters bf did that a few years ago with his escort rs turbo. It was parked up in the car port and while away on a wkd to ireland some buggers stole his wheels, exhaust, stereo, etc.

Dont mean to sound harsh, but if you cant afford the insurance then why dont you get a different car?

Would only not insure it if it was in a locked garage.

Too many thieving buggers round my way!

Hello

Well .. I'm just off to Tunbridge Wells, so please don't drive for the next 3 hours or so.

Thanks!

Steve.

Some insurance companies will do monthly insurance (not just monthly payments) -- maybe that will help?

Nicci 10 August 2004 12:27 PM

Are you actually going to be able to drive comfortably for much longer anyway?

I think someone needs to do some chauffeur (sp?) duties for you.

Umm probably not long until its uncomfy:o I don't have a chauffeur:cry: Time to start using public transport again:eek:

Weapon, don't do it: it's a slippery slope. Get caught, and your insurance premium goes up making it harder to justify... Before you know it, you're uninsurable and possibly banned from driving.

Ok, so that's the extreme, but don't do it.

weapon69 10 August 2004 01:23 PM

i wouldn't drive without it, i'm just going to do some heavy duty whinging when i see my car parked on the driveway and i can't drive it :lol1:

tucker101uk 10 August 2004 02:22 PM

Dont drive without insurance. Full Stop. Its not fair on the other driver who is involved in the accident you may have, and its not fair on you if something get nicked.

(painful i know) sell the scooby, and buy a smaller car. Then when you can afford the insurance, buy a new scooby! yay! who knows, maybe by then scoobys will be hovering a foot off the gound!? :D

Seriously tho, driving uninsured is not worth the risks involved.

Wouldn't bother mate. Saw a thing on news the other day, they trying to get it were if you get caught without insurance they take your car off you & send it to be crushed to discourage people more.

Bravo2zero_sps 10 August 2004 03:55 PM

Right if the soozmobile is not going to be insured its going to my parents to sit nicely on their driveway where its out of temptations way until a valid insurance certificate is in your possession :p and the scoob can return home :D

weapon69 10 August 2004 03:57 PM

ooh does that mean i can drive the scoob? :luxhello:

Bravo2zero_sps 10 August 2004 03:59 PM
