Just wondering how you all met your other halves. In the not to distant future I'm looking at relocating to an area where I only know a few poeple from work. So I am treating it as a fresh start, new place new people. However meeting new people has never been a strong point with me (I am actually quite shy). Whilst work are quite friendly and I do get on with a couple of people quite well, I don't want socialize with people from work all the time and after the last few months certainly don't want another relationship within work.

I worked evenings in a restaurant to help fund my GTIR and met my GF on 2nd night of working. It was a stormy October night and being right next to the harbour of Saundersfoot we went to check out the 30ft waves on our break and by the time we got back we were holding hands

Of all places Blackpool!!! Well the surounding area. Yes I know there are nicer places and I did put a thread up not long ago. Following that I looked at how much it would cost me to comute from say Stockport to the office by the airport and it just wasn't feasble.

My wife used to go out with a mate of mine... Erm. Sounds quite bad doesn't it?

(There was about a year between them splitting up, and us starting to see each other - plus my mate and I had drifted apart in that time, not deliberately!)

We did the same about three years ago, then met for the first time a bit later that year at Trax, then again at a Dono track day but didn't manage to get it together till this year and are now blissfully happy, aaah. Bucket anyone?

She gate crashed my year's graduation party at Uni - she was in a different faculty and still had 2 years left. Her friend and I had "shared a moment" in the car park a couple of weeks previously and I was chatting to her when I saw the girl that is now my wife. Needless to say, we dont see to the other girl anymore.

That was on the day the twin towers fell - at least it wont be difficult to remember the date we met!

Well I know that start, now I'm trying to sort out the mess its left. We didn't realise that work knew, of course some people did as we had told them. But 2 gems stick in my mind.

The main office was moving so my desk ran the cover, we had planned that us 2 would work the cover as it gave us a long weekend together and the company paid. About a day before she was supposed to be comming down the manager pulled her to 1 side and said "do you need a hotel or are you staying with Simon?" Oh nuts, he knows then!!!!

Second one was on a company night out, 3 lasses went to the bathroom together and 1 of them turned round to her and said "so whats sex like with Simon". Stopped everyone in their tracks!!!
