what bad habits do YOU have?

what bad habits do YOU have?
OK, so we are all fabulous drivers, and everyone else on the road is an idiot.
But given that, what bad habits do you have as a driver? I'll start
I've found that I have a tendency at traffic lights to put the car into 1st and hold the clutch down. If I'm rolling I'll also sit on the brake.
Don't know if its bad for my car, but I don't like the impreza handbrake (very stiff and always needs one click more than I'm comfortable giving it)
What about you?

I used to stay in gear whilst stationary - until I found it wears out your clutch release bearings and puts increased thrust wear/load on the engine/box.
My bad habits - last minute braking for bends/islands, and one handed/one fingered driving whilst cruising (which is why I hate power steering).

I've read loads of thread like this/ The problem is that nobody comes on and says:
"I like to turn suddenly without indicating", or
"I like to change lanes without looking", or
"I don't know what it is, but I just never see motorbikes", or
"I like to brake unexpectedly to grab my phone when it's ringing", or
"I like doing U-turns on motorways when I miss my exit", or
"I prefer to keep my fog-lights on at all times", or
"I don't really know what the rules are - I just go where I'm going regardless", or
"I don't stop at familiar junctions when I know there is unlikely to be anything coming", or
"You only need to use mirrors to pass your test. After that it doesn't matter", or
"When I'm in a hurry everyone else will just have to allow for it"
etc.
People like that just don't post in threads like this. Having said that, I did read a post once by someone who always stayed in the middle lane on motorways. He said it was safer, and gave him more room to manouevre in the event of unexpected hazards up ahead. Fair point, but he didn't see the flip-side: that by doing so he was causing all manner of frustration and danger behind him, and that he himself presented a hazard to those following.
My bad habits? Hmm. Here's one: when waiting to turn right I often have my wheels turned in that direction. I know I shouldn't, but sometimes I forget.

I'm a bad one for using the phone in the car - especially texting... used to be a dab hand at skinning up whilst driving too but that was in the olden days before I smoked proper cigs

I am a black belt in catching farts and releasing them in the GF's face. You just don't get romantic gestures like this now-a-days.
Driving, every bad habit bar overtaking on the inside. Had a tug on the M6 once, just putting the old chap away when blue flashing lights appeared in the rear view mirror, Large , pulled over to the middle lane and an unmarked Volvo shot straight past <phew>.
As for the dirty barsteward that picks his nose and eats it - respect - I normally wipe it down the side of the seat, along with earwax. If No seat is available then it gets spat out - bogies that is, I hate the taste of earwax.

I possibly posted something similar years ago, I have only ever done this a couple of times when seriously tanking on, always on an empty motorway and anything behind would need to be in a very big hurry, at any other time I try to get back to the the inside lane whenever possible and nowadays I dont go that fast, to much risk involved and its only worth it over 100 mph anyway.

I spose a few of mine are:
* Driving into the back of people on the motorway
* blasting off up to the speed limit as fast as possible at every junction and lights etc (damn thats why i use so much fuel)
*I always try to do the speedlimit when turning into junctions, eg i will do 30 because i am allowed to dammit! Slowing down wastes time, its bad enough i have to go slow on the straight bits!
