Driving Days
Quick question ... looking for some feedback:
I am trying to organise a driving for a few people at work, budget is <£500 per head as they will have to pay for some of the costs out of their own pocket.
So far we have concentrated on the Thruxton offerings, most notably their Lamborghini experience.
http://www.thruxtonracing.co.uk/lamborghini.html
I wondered if anyone here had any experience of this and could make some suggestions/recommendations?
The cars have to be a bit special, as M3s/M5s/Porsches are daily runner for most of the candidates!
Cheers
Jon

Yep did the the "Italian Experience", and loved it.......
The day really involved driving the cars at speed but no where near their limits, with an instructor giving advice. The advice does work
Car were:
MG Saloon - surprised me as it was a good car, handled well
SLK230 auto - lovely inside, handled like a barge and was sooo slow
Ferrari 360 Spider - great experience, but takes more than 4 laps to get used to.
Lambo Murcielargo - the cream of the crop..... it is not like a Ferrari or any other car i've driven. Solid, precise (for a wide car) and just went like a v12 rocket
Also bought the Porsche 911Turbo for 4 laps. Glad I did as it proved to be the easiest car to drive fast, deceptively quick and possible to use everyday (like the instructor did). Felt the most stable of all cars....

I 'd defintely recommend it, but I wanted to know what those cars were like to drive... I had never been in an SLK, 360, 996Turbo or Lambo M...
If you have been in any of them , I guess it would be a tame day.....
But It was fun.........
My advice is too take a digital camera and a camcorder and use it all the time you can... Their photos are a rip price £6+ each ....
