Fellow gun owners - i've got me some new toys
As I have been banned from spending £3500 on the TREK Madone road bike, decided to make some stealth additions to my gun cabinet instead as my "manager" doesn't know what's in there
My Wierauch HW97 is a trusty air rifle, but a pain as it is an underlever single shot.
Seen a very nice (new) BSA Superten karbine 10 shot precharged complete with 3-9x40 scope, and the whole lot done in cammo effect.
Also found a nice pigeon gun in the same shop - Franchi 612 28" multichoke 12b semi auto - again in cammo finish, mint and boxed, six months old and hardly fired a shot, £300 off rrp of a new one.
Picking them both up on Saturday

Almost bought one in black ABS for wet and windy rough shooting, but unfortunately my source of land to shoot on dried up
I'm in the market at the moment for a 30" or 32" Kemen to replace my Beretta for sporting clays! Can't find a decent one for under 4 grand though!

Kemen is a nice gun.
I've got a Beretta 682 Gold E 32" for "best", but it is getting a bit knocked about rough shooting so decided on the Franchi - only cost £425 so it is more expendable, plus it's handy to have a third slug in the magazine for when you miss a rocket powered pigeon with the first two

Not sure about Shotguns in cammo..are they harder to resell than a plain old black one??
Cheers

Currently got a winchester supreme hunting as a first gun used on clays mainly and game during the appropriate seasons.
Would love to get into pigeons but can never seem to find land, anyone got any contacts around Huddersfield?
I also considered a semi for an alternative on the clays, but if I can hit them with the winchester I am loathed to buy one.

I like a long gun, and find the 32" Gold E quite pointy - suits me (sir ) but might be a bit of a cannon for some.
Cammo effect depends on the gun and its usage - you wouldn't want a Boss or Holland and Holland game gun done in it, but for a pigeon or rough shooting gun thay are quite sought after

I've got a Winchester and a Mossberg, both 12 gauge shotguns. Use them on wild boar as they destroy our garden (damn the recoil with those bullets! ) or the occasionnal burglary attempt HAd them for years... the Mossberg is crap quality in comparison to the Winchester...

And this week in "Coonts with Ammo"...
20 pages of shrapnel wounds
The Uzi 9mm... what it does to your head at 30ft
How to wear camo stylishly at a friend's wedding
Taking miserable pot-shots at an apple at the end of the garden.

I have a Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon S (28" M/C) for clays/rough/game, although i've only done clays and the odd traffic cone so far (not on a road i might add).
I did order a SPAS 12 a while back, for clays and comedy value. But over a month after paying up front the shop still hadn't got it ready for me so i cancelled it and got my money back. Bit gutted that i didn't get it, but it's really hard to get spares for them now as they're an obsolete model.
Look really cool though
A mate of mine has a SPAS 15

I had a Spas 12 for about a week, before I realised mine was S5 and had to return it. It also broke during that week aswell! lol
Still, supurb fun. Some video's of me letting the beast off on http://www.nevetas.com > downloads > shooting.

Is that then an HW97 that could be used for downsizing the rabbit population @ Puff's Place?
Hmm...

I need to try out the Superten - I need to pay a visit with a selection of my ordnance, don't I ? One evening in the week around sunset would be perfect.....call me this weekend!!!

A 12 is indeed cooler, but very hard to get bits for as no longer made. I also have a Benelli M3 Super 90, which is like a modern version of the 12, but not so cool!
