Recommend some Paul Weller CDs...
Hi folks,
I'm looking for some recommendations on CDs. I've recently bought Paul Weller's 'Days of Speed (live)' album. It's not the sort of thing I normally listen to, but I kinda like it. What else has he done that's worth listening to? Yes, I know it's a very personal choice/opinion! However, does he have any albums that are notoriously 'duffers' and worth avoiding?
Tracks from 'Days of Speed' which I like include...
Casting the net a little wider, would you like to recommend some artists in the similar genre?

Buy Stanley Road, this was the best solo album that he ever did. English Rose and Town called Malice were Jam tracks.
Best Jam albums: All Mod Cons, Sound Effects.
Weller never sold out, avoided the press and constantly reinvented his music. Bit like Busted

Have to echo the sentiment of getting Stanley Road. I'm an 80's fan, so have the odd "The Jam" album around, so got SR to see what Mr Weller on his own was like, very impressed.
Tell you what, why not get Stanley Road, and The Jam Greatest Hits, should more than feed your Paul Weller hunger.
Ahhh, Down the Tube Station at midnight, Town called Mailce, beat surrender, Eton Rifles, Changing Man, You do something to me, brokent stones.
Gotta love the guy. Bit like Sting really, class with The Police, class as a solo artist, ok, so his acting is not that good (we'll excuse "JD" in LSATSB from that though)
