I watched it all, I concentrated and tried my best but still it eluded me.

Something to do with a tear in the fabric of space/time and the rabbit helping Donnie repair the tear or summat?

I've read countless explanations on here and other forums, all of which escape me right now

wakes up on golf course,goes home ,747 engine in his bedroom,no airlines report losing a plane or engine.



the engine that apperas in his room is from 2 weeks in the future, his mum and sister were on that plane in the future, gong to donnie's funeral because 2 weeks "earlier" an engine had dropped through the roof and killed him ( donnie )while he was asleep in bed.

Film was so so, but the jet engine falling through the roof in full DTS surround scared the crap out of me!

But are they not on the plane becuase of somthing Donnie does during the 2 week period. Can't remember correctly but the a lady comes round to say she can't go so Donnie's mum goes instead?

Best watch it again I think.

Donnie has to save the world the film is filmed in because the metal object (aeroplane engine) causes an unstable, parallel universe...simple really!

One of the best films ever made, alongside 'deep throat island'.

Dont forget the twist, he went out doing the rabbits deeds and the engine fell through his room. When he essentially turned back time to correct all this he didnt go out that night, so the engine killed him...

The bit that got me was the kids and the mother acknowledging each other at the end. Seemed reasonable until that point - then that threw me completely.
