i don't think there uis an legal restriction about distance. if the fire brigade are called and they think that you do not have the fire under control or it is potentially dangerous, they will put it out. there may be some antiquated bye-laws about what time of day you are allowed to have a bonfire (usually it says that it must be after 6 pm or something).

don't want to annoy other neighbours. We aren't ***** like next door are... However it seems they will be waking up the same time as our house does from now on (6:30am, they are retired so usuallydon't get up till past 10)

here's how close it was: we hoped it was gonna get their arch:

They put some extremely smokey stuff on first (which was the stuff off THEIR trees, which we had thrown back over).

A bonfire that close to property is totally out of order.I'm sorry but i'd seriously have to cheese off these people (see audi-boys thread on chemistry)

What is that *huge* conifer at the bottom of their garden? Looks like it leans right over your property blocking out the light.

That needs to come down straight away - very dangerous!!

Yeah most of it went their way. We went out and started laughing and shouting "haha look what the morons are doing; smoking themselves out".

Then it flaired up and nearly took their arch out. He went to slow it down and spotted us in the window p!ssing ourselves at him. He didn't come out the next time it flared up, so now his plants are fried and he has a black arch.. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOSER

btw

To recap on the last thread. They got the police round cos my mom chucked their tree's mess over. the police told them we were allowed to do so. He also told them he blew a raspberry at my mom

The police visited us and told us to continue chucking it over, and suggested we cut as much level with the fence as possible. He also told us to ensure we reported their yapping dogs to environmental health... that went well for them then...

Surely you could do something that could make that fire "spread" to get rid of some of those trees your having a problem with

Then you can turn round and say:

1) should've lopped those trees like I asked
2) shouldn't have a fire so close to trees and stuff

Who's boundary is it? I mean the fence and all. If it's your's, rip the panels out for cleaning and painting (your favourite colour), then plonk them back in.

I think it'd look good in STi pink on their side

Ignore them, totally, nothing works better, you can sit back and feel smug at every increasingly looney scheme to annoy you. In the end they may give up or burn their own house down.
Dont react, just photograph and video with out them seeing and get 250 quid from the TV companies for neighbours from hell ..........

Do what i did when my loony tune neighbour did the same with a fecking great bonfire, I have a 6ft fence all the way round and it was about 3ft above that so I called the fire brigade, and he got a bollocking the the chief fire officer, I laughed when they kicked his back gate in too
Cheers
