Have film makers run out of ideas?
Went to the cinema last night to see Shrek 2, excellent film and I would see it again even though animations are not normally my thing.
However, sitting watching the trailers before the film there was a trailer for a film called "13 going on 30" which is about a girl of 13 who makes a wish that she was an adult and wakes up the next morning to find that she is a 30 year old woman etc etc...
Now is this ringing any bells with anybody....
Looks like people can now make a film about anything, including an identical film made less than 20 years before!

And the new Stepford Wives is identical to the original, bar a slightly different ending
but to save you the hassle of watching it all, remember how the original was, fast forward to the end and just watch the last 5 minutes
a lot of films are remakes, or same stories etc
I remember they started doing it with Star Trek the next generation, using the same storylines that had been used in the original series

"Have Scoobynet posters run out of original thread ideas?"
Agree, but it's not just films - anyone had the unfortunate displeasure to listen to the charts lately? They even resurrecrted Bananarama not many months back ffs!
And no, talking along whilst a tune that was written by someone else years ago plays in the background does NOT constitute talent, or even music most of the time.. RAPPERS ARE GUILTY OF THIS and always have been. Why can't they write their own melodys?? Becaue they are crap. Thats why
