SWRT Watch
Does anyone have this watch: http://store.swrt.com/details.jsp?pr...W&heading=dep7
I was thinking of buying it but would like to know if it is a good quality watch or not. Is it made out of stainless steel? The website says silver but I find that unlikely. Also, is it waterproof? The site says its made by Sekonda but is Sekonda a good watch manufacturer or are they cheaper watches? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, JC Bourgeois

Sticky stuff, i have the old one. I had it for a year before my wrist started to turn green I sent it back just before the end of the 12 month warranty and they changed it with no quibbles
I've had the replacement for just over a year now and the same thing has happened
I admit that the watch was on my wrist for at least 15 hrs a day 24/7 but it still shouldn't do that.
It was free anyway

Thanks guys for all the replies. I was concerned because Sekonda seems to make lower-priced watches as can be seen on their website (http://www.sekonda.co.uk/). SO, I emailed Sekonda and got the following reply:
They seem to be quote confident with their products and Prodrive usually never goes the cheap route so I figured they must be decent. Thing is, we haven't got Sekonda watches here in Canada so I can't go check them out to see what they are like.
Thanks again everyone. JC
PS - anyone know how much the old one cost?

1 & 2) Both the bracelet and case back of this watch are stainless steel (not silver).
3) Sekonda is the UK'S Number 1 selling watch brand, a position we have successfully held for 15 years. The company is British and like most other watch suppliers we source from the far east.
I can assure you that this time piece is built with quality in mind, not only does Sekonda have extremely high expectations & standards for its product but so does Prodrive. I hope the above information helps you with your decision and you decide to purchase the extremely nice watch.
Kind Regards

EDIT: The reason I ask is that when that watch eventually comes to Canadian Subaru dealers (probably next year), I would like to get an idea of how much it will cost. The old watch was CDN$110 so at a conversion rate of 0.4, I suspect the new one will be GBP$10/0.4 + CDN$110 = $135. If that's the case, then I won't be saving any money by waiting until next year to buy it.

BTW Sonic, any chance I could trouble you to post a pic or two of the rest of the watch including the strap and clasp? It would be extremely helpful...

Yep, will take a couple more pics
In the above pic, I used a slower shutter speed, to capture the movement of the second hand
This model differes slghtly from the older model, in that the outer bezel actually rotates
Yes the older model, is about 10 UK Sterling pounds cheaper, not CDN dollars

Thanks man... Wow!! That really is awesome watch... The Prodrive logos are worth the money alone... The SWRT website would do well to show that off a bit more! And, it will definitely match my car...
Thanks again for all your help.
