Electric Scooters
Am I right in saying they are illegal to use on the public road ?
There is a family down here who have one and its up and down all the time, think the kid may even go elsewhere on it, it doesnt bother me normally apart from the fact it has a horn and they are pressing it all the f*cking time.
Basically they are a pain anyway, the parents drive out of our cul de sac at about 40 mph regardless of whether there are kids about or not.
Two coppers down here and they havent had a quiet word, cant understand it, if I want to run a motorised vehicle on the road I have to Tax, MOT and insure it, plus sounding the horn without a need is also a road traffic offence.

Dont want to appear a killjoy but somebody sounding a horn for hours on end is very annoying. They went in before I had really had enough, good job dont want to sour relations but he does need telling about caning his Omega past my house 40 mph in a small cul de sac, f*cking middle aged middle manager **** taking gambles with the 20 odd kids who live down here.
LOL at PC and AJM !

They **** me right off too.No tax, test, insurance, never mind a licence or any kind of road awareness.Parents buying their kids these things is incredible IMO and antisocial.Who actually has a big enough private yard/garden to accomodate them?
The petrol ones are even worse as they rev to about a squillion rpm with no gears and can hear them from about half a mile away.

Probably. I ride mine to work, well I do when it's working, and haven't been pulled over so far. It's also fair to say that a good portion of the cars on this board are illegal on the public road.
