Default How does the M6 toll work?

Will be using this road tomorrow afternoon in 2 cars.

Missus is driving her Focus and I will be in a 328 that i'm delivering to London.

Pricing on the toll website says £2-3 per car, but is that for the whole length of the toll mway or for each little section? Cant be arsed having to shove £4-6 between us at every toll booth

It's for the whole length, pay once only.

It's 2 quid per journey. Regardless of length. You only pay once - there's a booth at every exit and one on the main carriageways.

Coming down from your way mate, you'll pay early on (don't forget the drag race fun out of the toll booths ) and then keep going to the end.

Go easy on the loud pedal though - PC Plod like to sit on the bridges and it's usually so quiet it's tempting to pick up some speed.

Will have to keep to 70 ish though - missus is following and not too happy about it, she likes me to do all the driving whilst she has a kip normally

You drive onto it & at the end are the toll booths. You throw your two quid into the basket & then it's who dares wins in the six lane drag race to the carriageway

I can vouch for the cop cars.

I was tanking it down the outside lane today on the M6 toll and then saw a bunch of police cars that had pulled someone over Slight brown pants moment.

I was under the impression that they did not monitor the toll road as much as the 'normal M6'.

I don't usually travel on the M6 and I think I might have been 'caught' on one of he cameras . My own fault Next time I'll take me old friend the M1
