Default Does ScoobyNet know EVERYTHING?

Whenever I have a question, and yes this is sad - but I always reckon that SN will have an answer and quickly too!

Generally, the advice is top drawer .....

Anyone else prepared to admit that they are as sad as me and look to SN for answers to ANYTHING!?

Pete

Whenever I say to my wife "I was speaking to someone who knows about these things" she replies "you mean you were chatting to someone on geekynet about it?"

And she's usually right.....

Yes, scoobynet does seem to know everything!! Its a running joke with my mates where if they/we want to know something they say, 'post up on scoobynet and find out' Everytime I have we have got the answer too. The reason is simple, its a big and knowledgeable community

Puff - Use that one myself.

It does seem that SN is a rather handy resource for information and opinions on a wide range of subjects (just waiting for the ****'s who go on and on about it being to PC and against freedom of speech to pop up and say something)

Does SN know everything, well, possibly, or at least it has people on it who claim to know everything.

I knows what I knows and I don't knows any more

Yep, me too - you can get an answer for anything, which is then usually disputed by someone else, corrected again, altered, contradicted and then slides down the listings

If I was to get onto Who Wants to be a Millionaire, I'd nominate Scoobynet as my Phone a Friend, except you lot would hold me to ransom for a share of the winnings

First one to post how much £1,000,000 divided by no of members on SN equals ?

At present we have 40685 registered members, so that would equate to about 24.579083200197 quid each.

If we looked at active members, right now (or when I checked) it was 417 (303 registered, 114 guests) so that would be 2398.081534772182 quid each

It's a shame those pub quiz machines demand answers so quikly or we'd be able to empty them with our combined brain power. Maximum I've taken out of one is £11 playing Hangman

Markus wins fastest finger () in a time of 23 minutes

£24.58 each not worth the effort - but if the guests think they're having any of it, well think again

there are probably 1000 active members (log in every day read every post type thing) - If you went out on the street and asked 1000 people a question, one of them would surely know the answer. Someone might even be able to explain Markus, but you would probably have to ask more than 1000 (000?) people

LOL FB!

In my opinion, for what it's worth, Scoobynet has become a much better resource for getting non Subaru questions answered, but the car stuff now seems to be bogged down in too much myth, assumption, uninformed opinion, obsession with the "opposition" and so on.

LOL - no, they're just as bad sometimes. Subaru this, Subaru that! Although the age of ownership hasn't lowered as much as with Scoobs, so generally it is still better technically.

It never seems to have been a problem to get good info on Subaru's as far as I remember, and as was said, on most other subjects too. I would'nt knock it anyway.

Apparently you can find out how long WR1s take to be delivered- like I care
Has GD turned into WR1 forum btw?
I also particularly like the Vs threads
oh and the 'will I get a ban for such and such a speed'.

We cleaned the £25 jackpot out of a Cluedo game once. Don't think we've won more than a quid ever since
