Smile Worst Private Reg you have seen...

Driving into work this mornin was behind an xk8

Reg was D10 XKB

The was a space between the 1 and 0 and a little N was drawn in in marker pen

on the bottom of the plates was an explanation DINO XK8 for those that couldnt figure it out.

The guy driving must have had a funny sense of humour.

That really gets me too! The epitome of a truely awful plate is the description underneath just in case someone (god forbid) doesn't manage to work out what the mess stuck on the back of their car is meant to read!

The one I saw was an E34 M5 with something like "M5 LFW" with a little description beneath: Loud Fast & Wide

We have D8SCO in Essex on a stretch taxi. The 8 used to be compressed SO much to make it look like an i that it was embarrassing, especially since the owners of the local TOTS nightclub really *do* own D1SCO!! The police must have had a word though, as it's a proper 8 now.

Almost as excruciating is KEV2N - same thing with the 2 - was squashed to within an inch of its life to look like an i. Made me smile when i saw it as a proper 2 some time later...

yep seen Pen15 but wouldnt say it was the worst, at least you dont need to muck about with it, I think any plate where you need to alter the spacing/lettering looks naff anyway! I dont like irish plates either I had GAZ 3721 on my old RS Turbo many years ago, thought it looked cool, in hindsight I must have looked a c**t!

Back in the days before you could pretty much choose your reg plate (about 15 years ago) there was a Volvo 740 in Warrington with a number plate that read "BUTTY", no numbers on it, no mis-spacing, it just had the word butty on it.

I had an northern irish OIL ???? plate on a BMW 328 a few years back. It meant nothing to me, just bought it like that and the number of people asking me "what does it mean?" was intolerable!

People always used to say they had seen me around too, which was a little disconcerting..... not that I would have been anywhere to be embarrassed of!

There's a lad round here with "SHAGGY", and his bird used to have "LOVE A", when they were parked up the path it read..." LOVE A SHAGGY."

I think they are S44GGY AND L8VEA......What a pair of tossers.

I wouldnt mind but the lad is an ugly ******, and it doesnt look like he has got a SHAGGY in him, as for his bird, she got her windows LIMO blacked by the council..........

C15 IME on a M3 ('chav' cars now around here) with the 1 and 5 squashed together and manipulated to spell the word 'crime' with the amusing addition of the word 'pays' written underneath the plate. Obviously a fallacy as within a couple of days of a local tax disc/window tint/number plate crackdown the plate was reverted to its legal lettering.

Can't remember the reg but some charver a few years ago drove round Leamington in a chavved-up M3 with the legend "Who said crime doesn't pay?" along the bottom of the plate.

I think the plate Paul has is DISCOG (D15 COG?) sure he'll comment

5 NOT isn't on a scooby but someone (can't remember who) does have Y5 NOT, at least I think it's that

I recall some poncy water company exec having H2 EAU on their porker.

I always kinda fancied B83 AST (B Beast) sad I know, or maybe B8 MRW

I could get "sharkus" if I really wanted to, but it's a tad tacky really
