What is the rice scented with?

Also,

Crayfish Tail Salad
Sun-blushed tomatoes & garlic

Deep-fried Brie
Plum sauce & spring onion

Fan of Honeydew Melon
Raspberry Coulis

Lamb Samosa
Mango salsa & chilli jam
Don't know if this is your final menu, but is it not better to be a bit more wordy in the description? ie, how is the coulis dressed around the melon or over it? Is the brie covered in plum sauce, or is it a dipping sauce? Does the "sun blushed tomatoes and garlic" come with whole garlic chunks, or just garlic forming part of a sauce?

Know what I mean?

I'd also suggest that your vegetarian diners don't have much choice. Melon is a bit passe for most diners, and if they don't have that, the starters & mains consist of deep fried cheese

Remember, true vegetarians don't eat fish.

How about a nice risotto dish for the main....butternut squash risotto or such like...but please NOT pasta with a tomato sauce!!

Cheers for the feed back. The dinner menu has lots more chioce and description but this is a sunday menu that changes every week so it has to fit on one side of A4 so we can print them ourselves. I will speak to the chef about making some better veggi options though. The melon is a bit unoriginal but our menus tend to be very contempoary and flashy which puts alot of people (always blokes off) I am trying to get some more simple options to please those who want sirloin steak chips and parsley.

I'd agree with that... after eating out every night in NYC, at places like Vong, Bobby Vans, italians and assorted high end restaurants, it's great just to get some goo old none fussy food at some point

I spent a week in Hong Kong, going native.. had cravings for a burger big time

Remember you are in Eng-Ger-Land, nah nah nahhhhh

Just get a big trough and fill it with chips !

Otherwise youe menu sounds really nice, dont go over wordy on the descriptions, thats what waiters are for

'Excuse me mate, what's the rice scented with'

'Sir, it is a suffusion of aromatic herbs and spices from the new world'

Translation, 'I just sprinkle it liberably with shake and vac, you plebs wouldnt know the difference'

Don't know if the mod will like it but is called VVine and its in Stony Stratford MIlton Keynes. Our 2 michelin star chef has been dropped in favour of another head chef who I think is better but unless we can earn some stars here then we will loose the bragging rights that goes with his stars.
I wonder if I could be the first restaurant to go in the scooby shop and offer a scoobynet discount.
