after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
He was suffering from that when he was in office.

Mind you, even thus afflicted he arguably did a better job than the present incumbent.

yep he's old.but still a shock when someone dies
i personally thought he was quite funny, yanks might disagree though!!!

there was a programme on tv last week (I think it came from the UK) that suggested his memory / reasoning problems started soon after he was shot by Hinckley. Evidence given was his long afternoon naps (and they were very long), his inabilty to answer coherently during the televised debates for the second term of office and other items.

RIP tho'.

Now that I have won with Ronnie I have to pick someone else. I was considering Kirk Douglas. Unless anyone has any other suggestions.
