Low stocks
Maybe it is just Grimsby, but all the DIY stores around here are next to useless. Sure, they stock just about every imaginable item you could ever need (or not), but you are totally stuffed if you actually want more than a couple of anything
For example, I tried to paint the outside walls of my house. Went to a large store to find every colour under the sun, but no more than 3 pots of any of them
Tried to edge the lawn, "sure we have 5 rolls" (well that will do one side then ) its not Wembley stadium ffs.
If you try to order anything you get the same vague crap "oh there may be some in next weeks delivery"
grrrrrrr

I've learnt this lesson countless times, not only from the Sheds but also the larger electrical and computer retailers. Either they have insufficient stocks or their delivery times are so long that I lose interest, so nowadays I just use the smaller independant retailers who offer just as good value but much better service.
Don't kick the cat btw.
