Dgital Camera Crisis
Dropped my Digi Cam on Sunday , Think it's totally b$ggered. Sent it off to the camera hospital and as its covered anyways by the house insurance am ok whatever the outcome.
However, I wish to purchase a new Canon PowerShot S60 , being released this month by Canon.
Phoned Canon to see when they'd be available in the shops..... response was a lukewarm, vague... "Within the next two weeks", They couldn't be more precise than that.
Same sort of reply comes back from various retailers I've spoken to.
What's up with these people? Don't they want a sale ? We're talking about £3-400's worth of kit here.
The only person I have had any positive help from has promised me he will track down one for me asap.
I need this camera for a photo shoot in 10 days.
What the hell is up with people these days.... too bladdy lazy to get off their fat ar$es and do their jobs properly?
Rant not quite over but I feel better for it !

Not their fault really.
Even at some of the top stores in the country, the owners/dealers do not know they are getting stock until it is actually delivered.
You think you have problems with a few hundreds quid of Canon equipment ? I know some people who are trying to spend four grand on a Canon camera but still cannot get an idea of when.
This doesn't just affect Canon by the way, other makes are just as bad.
Cheers

Thanks for your comments Ian. I know about the EOS troubles too. My other half wanted to buy one of the first digital SLR type cameras and had a hell of a job tracking one down. They are like gold dust to get hold of. Its just frustrating to know that there is a post production model but they are holding back in order to get shot of previous models.
If anyone out there has access to a good reliable -cheap- supplier , please let me know?
Meanwhile I'll keep making a nuisance of myself until I get some results ~ works for me !
