You'll be the height of fashion in Doncaster wearing one of those, you be careful, the French may start playing catch up and wear something other than Benetton dungarees

Poor Guy, if you're serious about wanting a chainmail shirt, I can make one for you.
You'll need to specify what you need it for as it will affect the pattern. Also - what size rings, what gauge metal, your measurements etc. If it's just for going out and posing, then a lightweight gauge will be best.
PM me if you're interested.

Hi! I'm a member of Regia Anglorum, our timeline is about 100 years prior to the norman conquest.
There are a number of groups in the country. I myself am a member of Milites deBec, a young and vibrant group based in East Kent but with members all over the country. I believe the is actually another member in Doncaster.
Have a look at
www.debec.org.uk
www.regia.org
http://members.regia.org/grants.htm shows the various groups arund the country, IIRC the derby and sheffield groups are also quite young and friendly

PG, do you really think someones going to stab you, might it not be easier to modify your conduct a little so people dont feel the need to stab you ?
Or is it for some kinky stuff ?
