A quid a gallon 
I would be outraged!!!
Interesting that the US still measures petrol in gallons not litres. Imagine if UK petrol was still priced by the gallon.

The US gallon is a different quantity, even with this taken into account I worked out that our petrol would cost $5 per US gallon, based on prices one year ago
