OK, I never miss CC payments when they drop through the door and they are always paid in full, on time.
SO seen as it is taking longer than usual for the bill to drop this month, I just logged onto the account and because I didnt get the bill paid off on time (their or royal mails fault) they've slapped on a 20 quid late change + interest
Now 20 quid aint much to rave about but the amount of money that i have nothing to show for I bet I could have bought half an RS6, it all mounts up.
Will barclaycard write the fine off under the surcumstances or will I need to inform them they will need an **** surgen to remove the card from their colon?

Give them a try, tell them that the post has let them/you down, remind them of your previously excellent payment record, and hope for a display of decency from them.
A mate got the charge dropped once on his card. Dad tried it once and they didn't want to know - cue suggestion of card/colon interface & dad cancelling his card.
If they do let you off, you could have them set up a DD to automagically take minimum payment each month so you don't get caught out by the post office again.
John.

happened to me - i phoned barclaycard and basically said "no f***ing way am i paying that". they credited me the £20 straight away. Barclaycard aren't cheap if you carry a balance with them, but for customer service, i've always found them top notch.

Yep, on the very rare occasion I've been late with my Barclaycard payment (i.e. forgot ) a quick call to customer services with a poor excuse has always got me a refund.

Set up a DD for the full amount every month, if you ALWAYS pay it off.
Not difficult, and avoids having to come up with **** & bull stories when you miss the date or "forget" to pay......
